I decided to put in another hard effort today. Two in two days is not ideal, but not a complete no no. I have a Bowen treatment session tomorrow and am supposed to rest for a few days after it. I suffer from peripheral neuropathy, a very painful condition, and had been perscribed drugs for the pain. These made me feel lethargic and pretty awful so I stopped taking them and looked for orther treatments. The Bowen treatment helps keep the pain down to a tolerable level and I think may eventually defeat it.
There is a tension between doing what the therapist says and getting my training in, hence the two hard sessions in two days.
I did a very good steps session, warm up then the normal six times up a set of steep steps on the coastal path followed by a 45 min run making 11/2 hours in total. Felt good afterwards but struggled to get through the afternoon.
Might go out for a gentle jog first thing in the morning as the treatment is not until 9.30am.
