Celandtone
Hi
I am currently researching many branches of my family. If anyone is connected to any of the below surnames, I would love to hear from them:
Doree (anywhere)
Quarman (London)
Reynolds (east London)
Paryer or Parrier
Thomas (Limehouse)
Noad (London)
Buck (mainly Limehouse)
Westbrook (Herts)
Ayres (Hillingdon)
Shaw (east London and America)
Phillips (Westminster)
Lacey (Norfolk and London)
Reed (Somerset)
Regards
Celia

Not any good to you, I know, but my grandmother used to live a couple of doors up from the "Gunters". She lived in West Cross. Swansea.

Thanks Dee
Until I can find out if my Ann Gunter had siblings or anything on her family I don't know where her relatives or their descendants may have got too. Rather than take this off topic think I might start a brickwall thread

I work with a chap called Burchill in Bristol. Apparently, the name is quite common in the Bristol/Bath/Somerset area.

Does anyone out there, know the names Barnett, or Foster. If so, are they looking at the shires of Nottingham, or Lincoln?.

If so, would you please PM me?.

Many thanks.

Oh "platformboots" I love that!! Anyway, may I just introduce my research on the name SPACEY and variants - SPACIE and SPACY plus a few odd spellings probably due to ignorance? I'm a member of the GOONS - that's Guild Of One Name Studies in case you don't know - well yes it sounds odd I know Well Chuffed Such members aim to collect all individuals bearing that name of their choice at all times and anywhere on earth. Hopefully we aim to locate as many as possible into family groups - just for the hell of it! Most of our collection will not normally be part of our personal "tree" - but we never know as we have problems getting back to the dawn of time.

So .. should anyone here find the name I've chosen to research rings a bell as they say, I'd be very glad to hear. It seems that until the later 20th century most of 'us' lived down the eastern half of England from Yorks to London/Middlesex and Surrey or Kent (south of the Thames as they used to be reckoned). But we've certainly spread!

By the way - yes I know about Kevin Spacey the most frequently quoted item in Google!

My Great Great Grandmother was Maria Luscott. Luscott's seem to come mainly from Shropshire. I have her marriage certificate but cannot find any trace of her birth in around 1821.
