Your answer is logical dinnerlaydee, but there is a problem, some people may have to learn how to use a computer to know how to do it.

A quick computer lesson is in order then Archie!! ..

As dinnerlaydee said .. you can delete the folder (and all the pics stored inside). If its a Windows PC then right-click the folder and select 'delete'. The pics will be put into the 'Recycle Bin' .. to permanently delete them you will need to find your Recycle Bin and right-click and select 'empty recycle bin'.

However .. if you only want to delete some of the pics but want to keep the folder you can try this.

To select a range of photos left-click the first one then hold down the 'shift' key while selecting (left-click) another .. every photo between and including the two will be selected .. you can then delete as above by right-clicking any of the selected pics and selecting 'delete'.

Or if they aren't in a range you can select a number of them. Select the first one (left-click) .. then hold down the 'ctrl' key while you select the others .. then delete as before.

Hope this helps! Happy

Just to throw confusion into the matter, to delete a folder with photographs in it I,
Left click on the folder and press the key delete, this puts items into the Reycycle bin. When I am ready to clear things out I pull up the recycle bin from my screen and left click on the empty the recycle bin and all is gone.
Just to add confusion to confusion.
This works on a PC

another way...if you want to delete only some from a folder, select the first one then hold down the CTRL key while you select some more - 10, 15 or more maybe, then right click on the last one, choose delete and you will be asked 'are you sure you wish to delete these 15 items?' so click yes...

edit - are you not asked to choose a location to save them to when you are downloading from your camera? A folder in 'my pics' for example that has the date on or something?

To find all of the pics do a find in all folders for *.jpg

You can then delete the ones you don't want by the selection methods described above.

The other thing to note is that when you've deleted the photos they haven't actually been deleted from the disk.

All deletion does is to remove the directory entry and make the space occupied by the photo available for writing more files on. Because disks are so big these days this actually means that photos are still there for months afterwards and can be retrieved after "operating system" deletion.

I use Winhex routinely to retrieve deleted files for people.

Deleting all the files on a disk properly so that all the memory the files occupied is wiped and filled with with zeros takes much longer than you might think.

Very true. Even after a drive format, we've managed to recover most (not all) of a customer's pictures and documents. We've even recovered them off the SD card in a camera that had all the pictures erased by mistake.
