About 100,000 extra bus journeys are made by Southern Vectis between last Thursday and Monday, tomorrow. Thirty-five extra buses are brought in from the mainland..
A special bus station is built at a cost of £15,000, plus the extra drivers are put in self-catering cottages in West Wight.
All car ferry places are fully booked
Nearly 70 flatbed lorries carrying portable toilets and bands (not on the same flatbed I hope)
10,000 bottle of cider consumed, 13,000 coffees drunk and 2,000 English Breakfasts eaten.on Red Funnel ferries.
Only 700 toilet rolls were used.
