Some research has been published whereby people read or talked to plants and they measured the growth. Recorded voices of men and women were used. The womens' plants grew up to 2" more than the mens', which grew hardly more than the control group not read to. Charles was right!

Don't know about male or female voices helping plants grow, but do know that the carbon dioxide we exhale the plants like. They take in the carbon dioxide and give off oxygen while we do the opposite. Don't really need to talk to them, just exhaling on your plants should help. Well, maybe you could read the newspaper to them. HappyHappy

well, talking to myself never worked....Im only five foot wet through......hahaha....

but this has been researched for decades and has always shown that plants do respond to noise....not just talking but also music...other research suggests that in fact plants not only flourish if loved, but also react to injury and emit noise, which can be picked up and magnified...and when it is, it mimics screams............so vegetarians watch out.....you`ll not be able to pick vegetables, cut them up etc with an easy conscience again.

If you do gardening you will recognise that too severe pruning does cause major trauma to the plant,,,,, but disease can often be cut away.....just like surgery for us.......and plants do get better with the right medication....yet can be poisoned if the incorrect chemical applied, or the wrong dosage given.
What I never can but marvel at is Life itself.Everything on earth , alive or not, is made up of different combinations of a very few chemical elements....yet there is such variety even amongst one species.......blond hair, blue eyes etc......but what makes a geranium different from a carnation, a goat different from a camel ? ....and if we are so clever as to cross fertilise to produce better racing pigeons or blue roses, and test tube babies, ....and every individual has different DNA., how come everything over the thousands of years has not turned everything into one homogenous mass of unity......humans are still humans, flowers are still flowers and inanimate objects do not come alive........If it takes water to sustain life.......why, when it rains do buildings not root and grow etc hahaha Same chemicals, different outcome .

OH my spiritual brain hurts.! hahah
