Do over sixties men feel too old to travel for romance?

Travel and romance.

Corfu New Life
I sometimes click on to Saga Zone - to read interesting posts etc - but I honestly never realy considered the Zone as a way of meeting a gentleman friend. Now I see this relationships forum - is this new - or was I just not paying attention?
I have recieved some fun messages over the last couple of years - but it seems that Greece is just too far away - too far for an over sixty available chap to travel - aint that a shame?.
I havn't given up hope though.
And now that I have recovered from the initial trauma of an unfaithful and mean spirited - now ex - husband - I am a positive and very happy individual.
Life is for enjoying - appreciating - living - learning - and that's what I am doing - on one of the most beautiful Islands in the Ionian.
Trouble is - I get a little bit lonesome sometimes - my pals are mostly devoted couples - and a few years younger than me - and as I get older - I fancy the company of an old geezer - to sit on the beach and watch the sun go down with. But for now - I remain content with my lot - on my own - enjoying chatting on line with interesting people.

well it may well be that you could meet a lady codger who likes playing the spoons to and that could be quite a mind blowing experience for some people.Wink with tongue

That reminded me of an old silly song...

The King is in the altogether, the altogether, the altogether.....

A comma in there would have had us all wondering

Louis dear heart - not so much having to - rather wanting to - and you know what? - sometimes when I read Saga Zone comments such as yours - I remember why I came here - to get away from sarcastic clever***** and pedantic un-hip fellows.
I had hoped age would improve the British male - but it seems that the country is still thriving with opinionated bigots - sad sad sad.
But hey, freedom of speech is great, isnt it?.

Why mind blowing Jess?
It would take a sensational spoon symphony to blow my mind.

Well i think it must be fabulous living in a place like Corfu .

I read Gerald Durells My Family and Other Animals for my O level Eng Lit back in 1974.

Have always wanted to visit the island .

Corfu i hope you do have contact from friends here on the zone .

Wanting to visit ,

How about you ask if any zoner gentlemen would like to have a cheap holiday .

I have my passport at the ready whose first,

Louis Shades Even got my shades on

Cheap Louis?
Is that what you are looking for?
Corfu isn't cheap - especially here on the North - but maybe Kavos would suit you - lots of free thrills to be had there - you would need to keep your hands in your pockets and your gob shut though - those gals are fiesty - on the other hand - they might feel sorry for the old bloke and who knows what might happen?
Dream on.

I was the one who mentioned cheap ,not Louis .

What i was thinking was along the lines of .

The men just pay for their air fare and you Corfu put them up at your place .

They could chip in for food .

Then maybe you would get alot of interest ,and have company ,and maybe find a suitable match .

I offered to make up numbers because if you had too many then you would need extra help .

Mish x

ps i think its a really good idea .,it would benefit us zoners .
