Bose music system

I wondered if anyone has a Bose, or if anyone has an alternative (cheaper but as good) system. I am treating myself and would like some advice if possible.

First time I heard one of those i thought the guy had a super doopa stereo system. I couldn't believe it when I saw where the music was coming from. Most impressive, and I take some impressing!

Thank you for your prompt replies and links, still seriously considering the bose for cd playing and radio. The price now though is over £600 and I hesitate on spending that much.

Did you buy it? I don't think you should hesitate at all they have an amazing sound quality. I have a stereo in my car and their multi disk system in my house - I love it.
