Viagra gives most men back their confidence and enables them to make love once again, but does it effect their ability to ejaculate as easily as before they needed to take it?.

Hi,

I've just tried googling it but it doesn't answer my query. It was more about premature ejaculation, unless of course I'm looking in the wrong place.

I always understood it takes two to Tango.

Of course if the woman is only interested in self gratification then it doesn't matter a whit to her.

It matters to me!.

From what I have Googled, Viagra has no effect on the man's ability to ejaculate whatsoever. Sites that sell Viagra will often say it prevents premature ejaculation, but this is a marketing ploy and just isn't true Indirectly, Viagra could help with premature ejaculation in the sense that the man would regain an erection relatively quickly and a second ejaculation would take longer than the first..

From diabetessuffolk.com.... Viagra (Sildenafil) is a tablet used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It works by improving blood flow to the penis when you are sexually stimulated. Viagra has no effect on sexual desire or libido, and does not affect ejaculation.

Googling further, the Daily Mail reported on the development of a new spray medication, given the development name of "PSD502", which reportedly made men suffering from premature ejaculation last "up to 6 times longer" before ejaculation. Given that, before the spray was applied, some of the test subjects had only been lasting 0.6 of a minute before ejaculation, I wouldn't take that as much of a glowing success!

I would have thought ejaculation only matters if one wants to get pregnant and as most Sagazoners are of an age where it is nigh on impossible unless they seek medi-tech help, I hazard that ejaculation doesn't matter one whit...orgasm is another matter...but some medical & other conditions means some men don't ejaculate on climax anyway...

On reading the side effects on viagra some months ago, apparently, it actually shortens the libido by a few years, as it draws out what in left in men of the libido strength, and gives it a two year boost. After that, sadly, their libido disintegrates. Make the most of it you guys that take it, as your days are numbered.Big cheesy grin

i would think the reason for not being able to ejaculate would be down to a low testosterone level in the older man also vasectomy can cause this to happen over the years.

I know some young people who will be in big trouble if that's the case. It is, I am told by a workmate in his 20's, the recreational substance of choice for men of his age, purely because of the length of time they and their girlfriends can have sex! They all think it's harmless fun, and buy the tablets under the counter from people who get prescribed it and who then sell the tablets on.

According to studies by the U.S. Department of Health And Human Services...

Vasectomy does not affect production or release of testosterone, the male hormone responsible for a man's sex drive, beard, deep voice, and other masculine traits. The operation also has no effect on sexuality. Erections, climaxes, and the amount of ejaculate remain the same.

I was vasectomised about 16 years ago, and I'm not having any problems because of it. Even if it were the case, testosterone supplements are available on prescription.

Anyone who has a vasectomy is stupid! Iknow not all go wrong but like all ops they are not risk free and if you are one of the unlucky ones it's not funny. I had a vasectomy at Marie Stopes clinic in the late 70's, during the op I experienced a really sharp pain like something snapping. As I was experiencing quite some discomfort I returned to see the surgeon who treated me with utter disdain. Some 3 years later I saw a proper surgeon who operated to alleviate the problem partially. As a result I ignored the early warning signs of prostate cancer until it was quite advanced. Fortunately I am in the care of some really fine specialists which make me realise what a bodger the vasectomy surgeon Mr. Klinger was.. My advice to anyone is don't tamper with nature unles it's a matter of life and death.

One botched vasectomy in the 70's hardly signifies potential disaster lurking around the corner for anyone having a vasectomy now. Every medical procedure has the potential to go wrong, and you're going back 40 years! In the UK, the The National Health Service (Family Planning) Amendment Act 1972 authorised the performing of vasectomy operations for contraceptive purposes, and the procedure really took off about then. You were vasectomised in the very early days of the procedure, and things have moved on dramatically since then.

An estimated 40,000 to 65,000 (AXA Healthcare puts the estimate at 90,000) vasectomies are carried out in the UK per year, and if the media heard about any significant numbers of botched vasectomies, the papers and media would be all over the topic for weeks.

"Anyone who has a vasectomy is stupid!"

I had one many years ago and I am most certainly not stupid.
What a silly generalisation your comment was. You just had an unfortunate experience as others do daily from all sorts of medical procedures.
