The 'Open' at St Andrews

Is it going to be a superb Competition involving 150 of the World's Best golfers, or is it just the next Episode in the life of one T. Woods?

In the view of our 'wonderful' Media, obviously the latter.

I'll admit I'm not an expert on the subject of golf, but when I listen to the commentaries on the Radio I want to hear details of the Leader-board, especially how well the home players are doing.

I do not want to be continually regaled with the life and times of a confessed philanderer, it just gets so tedious. The total obsession which our media has with this person is unbelieveable.
As good as it gets

One of the problems is that our Media try its damnest to copy the Americans, on the premise that if it's an important News / Sports Item 'over there' then it must be just as important to people 'over here'. They are wrong!

At least I managed to put the kibosh on Woods this time round....... Big Grin

....and well done Oosthuizen, how he managed to keep his nerve on that last round was exceptional. I was of course rooting for Lee Westwood and Paul Casey; their time will come (I hope!).
