I am an avid fan or formu la one and am looking forward to the new season. There will be five world champions on the grid and it should be an exciting seasons.I never actually go to the racetracks as I think you see so much more on the t.v.,you just don't get the atmosphere.I like the thinly disguised animosity between Eddie Jordan and David Coulthard but I don't like the commentary of Jonothan Ledger, though I think he is being replaced this year.Anyone else out there keen on F1 |

Not 'arf! Used to be camped out at Brands Hatch when the races used to be there, but it's too expensive to go to a circuit these days!
You're right about Mr Leg End Legard, he is no more, DC is moving into the commentary box along with Martin Brundle - sounds a good combination. And it's being broadcast in HD this year, so the picture quality should be pretty good too. Just hope the practice broadcasts on the BBC red button are HD too..! Roll on the first race! |

Early days yet for me to make a prediction, I'll wait until all the pre season testing is over and the first serious practice sessions are under way, but on the face of it your thinking is logical, but I'm sure Vettel will be there abouts too...

Not sad - I'm scouring about 4 different dedicated F1 sites for any information and sit in front of the TV on the BBC red button watching every second of the practice sessions.... Now that's sad...!

My son is deputy editor of the ITV F1 wesbite and was in Valencia for the pre season practice and unveiling of cars. He was always mad keen on F1 being a big Schumacher fan as a little boy. He landed his dream job doing the ITV webiste right from uni!
I'm looking forward to the new season. Hope it doesn't start off badly with no Bahrain Grand Prix... waiting on the decision from Kind of Bahrain ![]() |

[quote name="PottiJo" time="20/02/2011 @ 15:37:13"]Hope it doesn't start off badly with no Bahrain Grand Prix... waiting on the decision from Kind of Bahrain ![]() I must say that I wonder whether Bernie is starting to loose the plot as this decision could end in confusion and chaos. Will the teams and especially sponsors really want to be go racing on a track that will probably need protecting my tanks and troops from an army that is killing or injuring demonstrators? |

It's a very worrying situation with what's going on in Bahrain and I really can't see why Bernie's effectively passing the buck on deciding whether both the race and the testing session preceding it go ahead - it needs a strong decision quickly from within the F1 organisation in my eyes.

I agree with that and I think the decision should be to cancel or postpone til the end of the season.Which means instead of getting my first fix on March 13th it will have to wait til 27th.I read that Vettel has put up the fastest time in pre-season testing.

Hang your coat back up and give it a chance! Yes those were good days[Senna especially] but it is still very exciting to watch and you have to move on.We Saga people don't live in the past.We live for the moment............in case we don't have too many left.

Did anyone watch Graham Hill last night on TV, great programme about him and his life. I remember sitting on the roof of Dad's car, parked on South Bank at Brands. Can't do that anymore. I also hear they stopped the Bahrain race because of the unrest. |

I didn't see that programme. Was it on a Sky channel.I only have terrestrial channels. The only way I would have Sky is if they bought the rights to show Formula one. There is talk of the Bahrain race being put on towards the end of the season.Hope it is!!

Nice to see that Williams have declared that had the Bahrain grand prix gone ahead they were prepared to boycott it because it was unfair to antagonise the citizens by holding such an advent during the crisis. I would like to think that a number of the other teams would have been prepared to take the same line

Hmmmm.I might be a bit cynical but why didn't they say this before the decision was made to delay the race
